What is this challenge about?
It’s about 10-days of summer music – songs about sun, sand, cruising, grooving, loving, beaching – and how you interpret them in colour, image, marks, stitching, words, and more. Most of all, it’s about having FUN!
Did you know that music anchors us with positive memories 90% of the time?
The song challenge will help connect you to the summer soundtrack of your life. Over the course of 10-days, you’ll be provided a daily prompt to play with. Each will generate a different song and interpretation depending on your age, the memories it jogs, where you were and what you were doing at the time.
What songs were you listening to in your teens? Your 20’s and 30’s? What are you listening to now?

When I was young I'd listen to the radio
Waitin' for my favourite songs
When they played I'd sing along
It made me smile.
Those were such happy times
And not so long ago
How I wondered where they'd gone
But they're back again
Just like a long lost friend
All the songs I loved so well.
It was songs of love that I would sing to then
And I'd memorize each word
Those old melodies still sound so good to me
As they melt the years away.
All my best memories come back clearly to me
Some can even make me cry.
Just like before
It's yesterday once more.
